This part of the process is the most exciting stage.  Once we begin to meet together, we will identify major goals for the future organization and start discussing how to achieve those goals.
 
Below are three typical goals that beginning organizations aim to achieve.  Listed alongside them are some very basic ideas for ways to meet those goals.  With Connect-Now, we'll help you brainstorm dozens of other creative ways to achieve your objectives and begin your own success story!
 


DEVELOPING ORGANIZATION:
 
a.  Createa an organization name
         i.  Catchy & ease-to-say
         ii. Design logo
 
b.  Write a mission statement
         i.  Include why organization needs to exist
         ii. Include generalization of what the organization hopes              to accomplish
 
c.  Create a timeline of linking goals
         i.  Short-term
         ii. Long-term
 
d.  Add new members
         i.  Recruit friends first
         ii. Hold after school meeting

 

            

 



RAISING AWARENESS:

a.  "Put a face on the cause"

         i.  Depends on type of organization

 

b.  Develop presentation to youth groups, school  
     children, and community-service groups to explain the
     organization.
         i. For example, Rotary and Kiwanis groups

 

c.  Write articles in school paper
         i. Eventually in local paper too

 

d.  Hand out fliers for events or awareness programs

 

e.  Plan a school-based event (eventually community-based

RAISING FUNDS:

 

a.  Corporate Sponsors
         i.  Marketing package with important enclosed materials

         ii. Charitable grant proposals

 

b.  Local Sponsors
         i. Student-based grants

         iv. Fundraiser in which local corp matches donation
         v. Develop presentation to community groups

         vi. Partnerships with local groups or companies of 
              similiar interests
